Earlier this year, Wellington Pasifika Business Network (WPBN) in partnership with WellingtonNZ and the Hutt City Council. Brought our business community together through our Boost your Business Series, a series designed to connect Pasifika business owners with organisations, resources and practical support that can help them grow and strengthen their businesses.
Across the series, we were joined by representatives from MSD, Hatch and ANZ, who shared valuable insights and practical knowledge across a range of business topics.
From understanding what support and opportunities are available through MSD, to building confidence through upskilling and business education, and getting to grips with the fundamentals of business finance and understanding what you need to know, each session provided our community with useful information they could take away and apply to their own business journey.
What made the series particularly special was seeing the room filled with Pasifika business owners, entrepreneurs, and community members, creating opportunities to connect, ask questions, share experiences and build relationships directly with organisations that are there to support them.
For us, BYB was about more than simply delivering information. It was about bringing the right people into the room, breaking down barriers to accessing support, and making sure our Pasifika business community knows what resources, services and opportunities are available to them.
A huge fa’afetai to our speakers, partners and everyone who came along, contributed to the conversations, and shared their experiences. These connections are an important part of building a stronger, more informed and connected Pasifika business community across the Wellington region.
