In 2025, in partnership with Porirua City Council, Wellington NZ, and the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, the Wellington Pasifika Business Network delivered the Porirua Boost Your Business series. An initiative designed to support Pasifika business owners and entrepreneurs in the region.
The series featured four workshops covering key business topics, presented by a diverse lineup of Pasifika guest speakers. Attendees included both start-up and seasoned business owners, coming together at Pātaka Museum to learn, share experiences, and strengthen their networks.
Local caterers, Pepes, provided delicious kai, adding to the warm, collaborative atmosphere. The series was a valuable opportunity to connect, inspire, and empower the Pasifika business community in Porirua and beyond.
We then finished off the series with an online AI introduction seminar hosted by the ladies at Fiber Fale, Julia, and Eteroa. This was an hour-long, engaging, question-based, and lots of information answered to 80-plus participants online by the dynamic duo. We were very lucky that we could host them for the wrap-up of our final Boost Your Business series.
